Mexico Vacation Retreats 2005

A Contemplative, Meditative Week

In the quaint little fishing village called Sayulita
with Dr. Jeana Thomas DC

WHERE?
Retreat to Sayulita ~ a small Mexican fishing fillage located about 35 miles north of the Puerto Vallarta International Airport. We'll stay in Sayulita, but we'll visit some other local towns, including a trip or two into the city of Puerto Vallarta.

WHY?
Because you deserve this special time for yourself. It's important to have time in your life when you just relax, recharge your batteries, do whatever you choose, and answer to nobody. Let this be a special time for YOU!

This sweet, week-long vacation will be a time to read, meditate, journal, think, listen to consciousness-raising seminars, walk on the beach, hike the hills (you choose from the above), and experience a side of Mexico you may not have seen before. I will provide some structure and help you with everything, but you will be able to pick and choose what you want to do. You can have as much free time as you wish, and you will definitely have several hours a day to do whatever you please.

WHEN?
Tentative dates for 2005 are: February 26 through March 5, and March 5 through March 12. February and March are excellent times to leave the snow behind to bask on the beach and clear your head and spirit.

COST?
Our fee is $200 per person.
For this we will help you get the best possible deal on your flight to Puerto Vallarta and your lodging in Sayulita, meet you at the airport, help you get some pesos, and teach you how to take the bus to Sayulita, get you settled in your cabana, and host you for your week in Mexico.

You will pay for your own airfare, lodging, food and all expenses during your week vacation. Sayulita is a small town, so we can stay in different places to meet our individual budgets and then meet every morning to plan our day.

Yoga, surfing, massage, chiropractic and other spa services will be available "a la carte" in Sayulita.

So how much is it likely to cost in total? I've seen flights in the range of $287 to $400. I'm aware of wonderful, beautiful, ocean-view lodging from around $400 per week and up (way up)--and there is the possibility of sharing a room or a 2 bedroom unit with someone. So you can see that this will be a very affordable trip--as low as around $750 (if you share a room)plus food & other purchases. Or you can spend more if you choose for certain even more amazing accomodations.

HOW WILL IT WORK?
First we'll help you get the best possible deal on your flight and lodging in Sayulita. Then I'll meet you at the Puerto Vallarta Airport and help you get some spending pesos from the ATM there. We'll catch the bus together to Sayulita--it's about a 45 minute, interesting ride and costs 200 pesos (about $2.00). Once in Sayulita, I'll help you get settled in your home, and get you oriented to this sweet Mexican town (the beach, the breakfast places, the plaza, etc.). The next morning we'll meet for breakfast and talk about our week together, including all the possible activities.

So you can see that rather than taking care of every little detail, I'll be teaching you and helping you know how to do this kind of trip on your own in the future (if you feel you can't already). I hope you'll decide to make this a regular "clean the snow out of your head" event and repeat visits with me will be welcomed!

You'll arrive back in the states rested, renewed, probably a little tanner, and a little healthier.
